Vendor booths at HobbyFest
HobbyFest is a free community festival run by the Hobby Area Management District at Dow Park, 7942 Rockhill St, Houston, TX 77061. It takes place on Saturday, October 3, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, in the Hobby Area of southeast Houston near Hobby Airport.
Because admission is free and the day is built around live music, food and children's activities, foot traffic stays steady for the full five hours. Vendors are placed around the stadium perimeter and along the pavilion, with the stage and seating in the middle so crowds circulate past every booth.

How do I become a vendor at a Houston festival in October 2026?

What permits do food vendors need in Houston?
Food vendors must obtain their own Houston Health Department Temporary Food Permit at least 14 days before the event. If you cook on site you also need a tagged 2A:10B:C fire extinguisher, and a Class K extinguisher where applicable. The festival does not obtain permits on your behalf.
How many people will attend?
We expect around 2,000 people across the afternoon. The festival runs 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM and admission is free, which draws families from across the Hobby Area and southeast Houston.
Can I bring a generator or use propane?
Yes. Tell us on the registration form and we will place you accordingly. Trucks with generators go on the stadium perimeter, and quieter booths go nearer the stage. Give accurate footprint measurements, because an oversized setup may be refused on the day.
Are vendor fees refundable?
No. Vendor fees are non-refundable and there is no refund deadline. The exception is if we decline or cancel your space, in which case you are refunded in full.
What can I sell?
Food, drinks, handmade goods, art, clothing, gifts, and community or professional services. No weapons and nothing unlawful. Alcohol is allowed only if you hold a valid TABC permit for this event and show it to us beforehand. Sell only what you described on your registration, and tell us first if that changes.
